UXD Notes: Creating a Sketch Artboard from a Mockup

To learn more about User eXperience Design, I’m:

  • Taking the Udemy course “User Experience Fundamentals” by Joe Natoli.
  • Taking the Udemy course “Sketch 3 from A to Z: Become an App Designer” by Joseph Angelo Todaro.

According to the timeline I created in a previous post (this is my inner the project manager speaking), I should have this completed in 5 weeks from now…

This Week’s Learning Takeaways

My takeaways are not comprehensive of the resources I cite and therefore should not be read in lieu of. If I’m citing resources, I’m recommending them to you. If you like what you read, please support the creator.

Sketch 3 from A to Z: Section Three – Shapes

Loving the course. In fact, totally nerding out on this! However, my free trial of the Sketch ended, so I’m considering whether I finish the course without having the “practice” component or dish out the dough. With two kids, saving up for a house, and taxes at the top of our priorities list, I’m not sure when I’m going to be able to fork out the $99…

Joseph does a great job of walking you through each step… I don’t have each step listed here, but I highly recommend referring to this section in the course!

I was able to build this iPhone7 outline from a jpeg mockup! The task involved using some quick and helpful shortcuts to do it quickly.
